DAVID “BOOGIE” GONZALEZ
The Gonzalez Foundation’s (GF) mission was established to continue the Legacy of Boogie Gonzalez. Boogie is the uncle to the GF President, Vicky Gonzalez Guy, and the Vice President of the organization, Tanya Gonzalez. GF was started while Vicky and Tanya were attending a speaking engagement at Benito Juarez High School, a career empowerment lunch and learn class through H.A.C.E. This blossomed into a scholarship program for art students in Pilsen. The mission of GF follows the same vision of our uncle, Boogie Gonzalez, to give back to the Pilsen community. Pilsen is a beautiful community enriched with the art & culture of Mexican decedents. The GF aspires to pay it forward to the very same community in which our family was imprinted upon and changed. This is all in the vision of peace and unity.
